Failed Bankers Resort to Oyster Card Funds

November5

POLICE Bishopsgate, London UK – At least two days in a row independent reporters have observed police officers gathered around a bus stop near Liverpool street station pulling commuters off London busses in peak rush hour evenings. This is a charming start to the Bonfire night in Central London, where Oyster Card holders are being questioned about the legitimacy of their journeys, after a hard days work, finally catching that long awaited bus.

This highly crucial task has been assigned to precious cycle-riding police officers. The Metropolitan police in London are known to have to deal with so much crime, that, as many would put it, “we have to be in three places at once”. Authorities recommend that the public should only use police time if a serious crime has occurred, not something minor like a burglary or credit card scam worth a few thousand pounds. Nevertheless somebody saving a quid on the bus must be dealt with as a matter of urgency as the prosecutors can fine him or her by around a hundred pounds. One passer by commented: “Is it because this time, it’s the money of the authorities, and needs to be donated in huge sums to the failing bankers?”

One would wonder why the cops are not assigned to pasting parking tickets? Since, one of their duties has been to issue tickets to drivers that use the bus lanes in hours of operation. The good thing about the law is that it is non-negotiable, regardless of drivers running late, typically due to uncontrolled traffic caused by road works in peak rush hours. However, you can use the bus lane if you can afford it. As with many people-made laws, you do what you pay for.

The Metropolitan police themselves seem to be going through a tough time with these latest law standards. These abused resources may be falling under a misinterpretation of the Tesco philosophy ‘Every little helps’. It sure does at Tesco’s and Iceland in the western recession, but being interrogated and fined further after being robbed of tax in recent years certainly doesn’t help hard working London commuters. In some cases these individuals have not been given the chance to touch their Oyster on the yellow reader, due to the busses being loaded by almost twice their capacity. One would wonder, what, or who really caused the recession, and who is now paying for it?

I’d like to ask the top dogs, what exactly are they trying to achieve? Misusing public resources on the common public instead of on the ‘real’ criminals? Perhaps these are amongst the authorities; therefore the innocents are in question. One good thing with us rats is our laws don’t change depending on how much Mac n Cheese we have.
