Leading Money Robber of Berong Gang Shot by Police

Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia – The Berong gang is known to be actively robbing bank customers since about two years, sometimes causing injuries. They have a history of forcefully stopping people in there vehicles and breaking their windows.

Since 2006, the leader, 48 year old Herrie Berong, is thought to have been involved in 30 robbery cases in the Klang valley. He was shot dead by policeman while on his way to commit another crime around 8pm on Friday evening, after it had ended up in a gun scuffle. The incident occurred in Bandar Sri Damansara.

Apparently the police have identified six other members of the group and are searching with the hope of arresting them soon. Wonder if they’ll shoot them as an alternative.
