Shisha Café in London
Shisha, also known as sheesha, nargille, hookah, smoke pipe and Hubbly Bubbly around the Arab world became hot in London around the late 90s. The originally Turkish Nargille, enhanced in the Middle East as Shisha, is smoked in London by predominantly the Lebanese and the Pakistanis.
Until recently it had started becoming a bit of a bore due to the stylish pleasant atmosphere being taken over by noisy children from schools and colleges. But now the original shisha culture may be reviving, with a few cafés starting to warrant the environment of relaxation within their premises.
What is Shisha
Shisha is a blend of water and fruit flavoured tobacco, which when smoked produces a steam of fragrance forming a white cloud. At the top is a hot coal that burns tobacco beneath it, separated by pierced aluminium foil. The heat causes steam to be generated from a water bowl at the bottom, which is sucked in via a long decorated pipe by the smoker.
Shisha Garden Café in Stoke Newington
Below are images of a beautiful Shisha garden in Stoke Newington, London, United Kingdom. Here the shisha buzz has still preserved elegance, with a mellow background musical playing in a cool and quite ambience. You can also order snacks and various hot drinks including a rich selection of coffees.

Perhaps some scab ratted out on the happiness of shisha smokers. This may have contributed to the cause for the government to introduce a smoking ban in July 2007, which had a great impact on all shisha businesses in the United Kingdom. Now restaraunts and cafés can only serve shisha in an outdoor environment
Maybe the governement decided that smokers were putting a strain on the National Health resources!
And not as you put it, to take away people’s happiness.
Maybe it was you Nosy Rat that sold out the sheesha cafes to the government !!!
I haven’t seen any proof of the NHS spending more money for smoking related illnesses than what it gains from the tax levied on cigarettes. Plenty of claims but not proof. Regardless, shisha has not contributed to any significant strain on the NHS at all.
Just so you know amigo, not all rats practice snitchcraft. My tale doesn’t tattle any more than yours.
I checked out this place with couple of mates, shisha was brilliant but the kebab shop next door has some delicious donar kebabs.
That doner kebab roll is phat!
