The Disease of Loyalty to the Skin

July18

“All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action” – Prophet Muhammad (peace be up him)

The above quote was part of the last sermon delivered by Muhammad (Peace be upon him). A third of the world’s population would consider him to be the most magnificent human being to have lived on this Earth. It clearly objects any sort of racism, and taking pride in any form of tribalism and nationalism. Whether we follow the teachings of Muhammad (peace be upon him) and worship Allah, or take other paths, most of us still understand the above to be somewhat true in essence, or at least we say we do.

However, in today’s society, racism and nationalism is still taught in some ways, and perhaps it is a deliberate projection by the authorities. By definition it causes divisions amongst us, hence making us vulnerable if we are robbed of our wealth and be used as slaves to the luxurious routines of the elite. They live in mansions, eat the finest foods, wear exclusive clothes and live lavish lifestyles, at the expense of the majority. They can do it easily, because there is no true unity amongst us.

Internal Racism within Ourselves

I suggest that the truth be known: For many people, Blacks, Whites, Browns etc – They have a disease of loving their own skin colour a little more than others. And it’s not natural; those who take advantage of us artificially inject this disease into us.

Some may wonder why I’m nattering about an issue, which is a problem of yesterday. Because just like many of you, Nosy Rat, questions some senseless disproportions that are openly present today…

Open Racism – Where people are treated as inferior due to their identity

Groups such as BNP, National Front and EDL pose a self-declared threat to the public, holding extremist views. Yet in today’s free society, they hold a respectable status, and in some cases even a political status. If a race that didn’t belong to a country declared to cause violence and throw out the natives from the country, would this still be respected and be allowed a political status by the public?

Often we read reports about fellow humans being tortured in certain prisons without charge. These include the infamous Guantanamo Bay in Cuba and Abu Ghraib in Egypt. Neither these nations nor surrounding ones have done much to bring any justice. Innocent people are tormented due to their skin colour, and sometimes, purely because they had visited certain countries. Shouldn’t they at least be granted a publicly open international trial first, or is that going to expose some hidden facts?

Immigration and Customs at airports in the USA are known to treat humans with disrespect, if they have certain backgrounds, names or religious associations. They’re authorised for this and admit it openly to visitors of the country. Does any evidence exist concluding that this is necessary?

Various harmless forms of dresses, building structures and cultural and religious activities are banned across Europe in the name of security. Is this not proof that clear-cut discrimination is still abundant?

Generalisation – Labelling a people due to a few bad eggs

I’ve heard rumours that Americans are disliked by many nations across the globe for being arrogant and causing havoc in the world using military power. But only some politicians and the elite of them are actually committing the political and war related crimes. Is it fair to blame the public for these actions?

Among many stereotypes, Blacks are associated to gun crime and drugs, Pakistanis and Arabs are associated to terrorism. The mainstream media promotes these stereotypes. Is it not true that even the media knows, which leaders are ripping the Middle East to pieces? And are these wars breaking out because the American government and coalition armies are so kind-hearted that they rescue the people by destabilising their countries, or is to parasite on the oil, wealth and other resources? Perhaps they are too restricted to advise us also, that historically the numerous murders and genocides committed across the world, and the spreading of illegal drugs, have relatively little influence from the Black race.

Nationalism – causing us to love and prefer the people of a country without any regard to their individual characters

Sport is a good tool for this, like the world cup football and cricket. It brings out love and loyalty in us to support the nations that we originate from, but do these nations deserve such respect? Emphasis is placed on divisions, giving us each our own flag, making us see other countries as oppositions rather than fellow humans. How many of us choose our origin as first choice to win such tournaments?

Many countries force their citizens to memorise national anthems, creating a spirit of loyalty and belief. Are they teaching us that our nation is superior comparing to the rest of the world?

Talking about these issues is tabooed in society, in order that it doesn’t cause offence. But isn’t it also discouraged to prevent us from uniting and standing up together? If we overcame our differences and stopped being emotionally attached to man-made designs on flags, then perhaps we can make a better and stronger society? One would expect that the more we communicate and relate to each other, the more of a defence we would have against those that are taking advantage of us day in day out.

My Nation My People

Thanks for the comments Neli. Where the leaflets are relevant, the website is updated first.

I don’t like the idea of working in a rat race to feed someone else’s greed. But I have to in today’s world. However, I’ll do what ever I can to change that so the future generation is more competent than us.
