Fire in Marylebone Flats

Marylebone, London, UK – A fire had broken out early this morning at a block of flats in Marylebone, for which two men have been taken to hospital.

Over a hundred people had been evacuated from the building, which was countered by over seventy firefighters. The fire lasted over three and a half hours.

The fire at Berkely Court in Glentworth Street saw three people rescued from the building, who weren’t injured but were feeling unwell.

The fire broke out on the fourth floor in a complex building; the cause is yet to be determined.

Residents have been given stay at a hotel close by and an emergency rest centre has been opened for those affected at Seymour Leisure Centre.

Earlier today: A boy aged six years old passed away in a fire on Angley, Wales. His brother and mother are unaccounted for. Full story at the BBC.
