London Peckam (Peckham) Fire

Peckham, London, UK – A massive fire has broken out at 4.30am on a building site in Carisbrooke Gardens this morning at the North of Peckam High Street in South London with flames over 5 metres high. Upto 155 fire fighters are currently tackling the fire.

At least 150 people have been evacuated from their home. One person has been taken to hospital as a result of breathing in smoke. The fire has been spreading very rapidly and many blockages are in place, however main roads have not been affected. No other casualties have been found so far.

Structures have been damaged in Sumner road and Rosemary road. Lambeth Council is providing temporary accommodation to evacuated residents.
