Bubbles in the Air for Olympics 2012

November12

Wondering if people would like this to come to London…

An article in the Evening Standard talked about a new innovation as part of the Art in the Park projects funded by Steel tycoon, Lakshmi Mittal, and/or possibly Google. It’s regarding a new style of building for the Olympics 2012 in London.

The material that was used for the Beijing aquatic centre may be useful for these 120 high bubbles designed by architects from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Apparently these bubbles, perhaps transparent, can cater for humans to walk through after catching lifts to navigate. Also they could be used to show race results.
