Become Invisible in Real Life

November12

I would be interested in hearing comments about the new Harry Potter style invisibility cloak that has been designed by researchers from Imperial College. Apparently it is almost a 5 million GBP project. It talks about metamaterial being used to stop light reflecting off the surface, therefore making the wearer invisible.

I can’t understand why they would want to invent something like this. For an international centre of excellence, surely Imperial College has not run out of ideas to spend their money on. Any plans for a teleportation cloak, where i can escape and hide from this recession ?

Just like sport, this is the football for the techies. The pointlessness of it varies from different angles. But mind you, whether it’s an invisibility cloak or for teleportation, those who want to hide from the recession won’t be able to afford it anyway.

I’ve been interested in invisibility for some time. Although recent experiments using multiple mirrors, extreme lights and sound waves have only proved partially successful. So far I can create the illusion of disappearance of small objects for a limited period of time.

Are you serious Noel? For most people the only thing that disappears is moneys. How do you do that then?

honestly there is a way to become invisible it is very complicated and the energy it would take is well have you seen back to future when the scientist is explaining to the boy how much energy it would take to power the time machine well think of that times about 100 times that the way to do it is to bend light around you if you think you want to be invisible I suggest you read the fictional book Things Not Seen By Andrew Clements by the way if you do choose to read this book do not read the the summery it gives away the first part of the story I almost put down the book myself it is slow at the start but gets better and better and you wont want to put the book down also do not let yourself start thinking to deep into it I myself got a little sad thinking of being blind like Alicia you will know who she is later in the book if you want to ask me more about anything else that seems like it is impossible you can email me at NeedMoreHelp1@live.com copy exactly include capitals and please no bad words
